Boxing jobs
Fitness using boxing training techniques has become the hottest craze due to films that have been released on circuit featuring boxing as central theme as well as the continuing interest in professional boxers such as Mohammad Ali and Joe Frazier. It is perceived as a highly ‘cool’ way to get in shape and keep lean and mean. Everything that boxers learn, except full contact sparring, is used to get people into peak physical and mental fitness. The focus is on fitness and not competitive boxing. Jobs for people who are currently involved in the exercise industry with boxing experience are in high demand.
Personal trainers at gym and boxing clubs give classes of about one hour’s duration during which an outstanding ‘cross training’ is offered that is suitable for any sport that requires inherent musculoskeletal strength and endurance. Many of these trainers have been certified by nationally recognised organisation that back up their competence and experience to qualify for these boxing jobs.
Not only do the trainers need to be at peak fitness levels but they also need to have the type of personality to make the classes fun and enjoyable so that participants keep coming back for more! Classes are offered for all age groups from children to adult; small groups; seminars; evening classes or one on one sessions. Boxing jobs are demanding as the clients who attend want to get into the best shape of their lives and are prepared to work hard for it.
Many of the current instructors holding down boxing jobs have attended training courses in how to run effective classes that are fun, are always different and get the results the clients are expecting. During a boxing fitness class there is constant movement, from the first bell to the end bell so the instructor has to be on top of the class all the time to keep people engaged and involved.
Boxing fitness clients do not want to learn how to box competitively or in a ring – they want to strengthen and improve their mental and physical shape. They want to get away from common fitness programs and do something a bit different. They can learn all this in fitness boxing. Jobs become easier to handle as clients learn to cope with the challenging demands of this sport.
